I swung the car door open roughly, the sound echoing sharply in the silent night. Without thinking, I got in and slammed the door with a force that nearly shook the windows. My hands gripped the steering wheel, my breath still ragged, filled with anger. Damn it, Matthew! My mind kept spinning, back to that moment at the dinner table, when I saw him dare to touch her without permission. I could barely contain myself.
