“Don’t you think it’s time you come here and stand by me like your husband to be,” Aiden’s father gestured at me, and patted Aiden by the shoulder.

Everyone turned to me. Their eyes felt like a crust of sand on my skin. My slowly broke my face into a warm smile and walked up to him. He took my hand, kissed it and hugged me.

“My wife is not home and Aiden, your man, has no sisters here, so, permit me to play both the father-in-law’s role and the mother-in-law’s role, too.” He hollered.
