The months passed easily after Cassian claimed every part of me. The pack saw me as his true mate now. Most treated me with respect. A few older wolves still whispered doubts. They said I was too defiant at first. They thought the bond might break. Cassian heard them one day at the training grounds. He shut it down fast. He grabbed the main talker by the neck.
