I knew everyone told me to stay home tonight but I went anyway. The full-moon gathering happened once a year in the big clearing deep in the forest and all the unmated wolves had to show up or face punishment. I was twenty now and still unmated because I refused every Alpha who tried to court me. I took suppressants every day to keep my heat away and I thought that would be enough to let me stand there without trouble. I wanted to prove the old laws were wrong. No one should be forced to pair just because of some stupid tradition.
