The Painful and Heartless Goodbye

His place was so dark. No noise could be heard as soon as I arrived at his place. Dimmed lights, deafening silence, and the loud beating of my heart- that reigned in his whole penthouse.

I silently walked inside to look for him. I scanned the whole living area and didn’t see any shadows of him. My chest got heavier. Why am I still wondering? Of course he’s not here. I should know where he is already.
