How many moon rises have I witnessed? Several winters have passed. Many lives have been born, but here I am.

 

"I'll go after you." I said to Lucas, the beta of our pack.

 

"Grendel's pack has arrived as well."

 

I quickly turned to Lucas. He's smirking. I furrowed my right brow and reached for the bronze goblet on my table.

 

"Is he with her?" I asked.

 

"Of course he came with his Luna."

 

I chuckled and nodded. "Good for him."

 

"He'll meet you after the ritual. He told me he had something important to tell you. "
