Willison POV

Willison leaned against the counter and ran through the next day in his head. He was still working on the Nuendorf house and hopefully the staircase for Man's apartment would arrive so they could make a start on that.

Shit. His clothes. He’d left his clothes in the dryer, and he knew Mia hated that.

He checked on the milk once more and then crept toward the laundry. Because of the layout of the house, it meant he had to cross into Mia’s side of the house and he was extra quiet as he crossed the invisible line that marked her space.

A soft hum made him pause....
