Mia POV

Mia gripped the door to her apartment, contemplating doing exactly what he’d said she would do. She’d put off this confrontation once and nothing would get resolved unless they cleared the air—understatement of the century. Mia sighed and swung the door wider, inviting Smith into the apartment. It was way past time she and Smith had it out. She’d let him steer her life for too long, or at least she’d given him the impression he was steering her life. She’d kept so many secrets from him all because she didn’t want to deal with his shit. Now all those secrets waited to be exposed and her chickens...
