I cannot believe that I had heard her sonorous voice after such a long time. It was as if I had never left.

I had called, intending to speak to Claire. Every time I put a call across to Thresh-World, I always hoped that she picked it. And today she had picked it and had said halo and her name. But when she heard my voice, she did not make any other utterances. She confined herself to monosyllabic responses.

I so much desired to hear her say more but she never did. Up till today, I did not know just how much I missed the sound of her...
