“And who is at the door?” I asked as I heard the doorbell ring a second time.

I wonder why she is refusing to go for the door but acted as if she had not heard it.

“Huh,” she said.

“The doorbell just rang a second time, aren’t you going to know who it is?” I asked.

“But we are not expecting anyone. I think we should concentrate more on this. Whoever it is would leave when he or she gets tired” she replied.
