I sat in my office, trying to focus on the pile of files in front of me. However, my mind kept running elsewhere, stuck on Kate and everything that had happened between us lately. Her smile, the way she talked, and the warmth that was starting to grow between us, all made it difficult to concentrate. But behind all that, there was a doubt that slowly crept in. Our relationship had never been simple, and I knew there were invisible boundaries that I had to respect.
