Devandra slammed the heavy glass door of his office, the echo bouncing off the polished marble walls like a gunshot. His face was flushed, eyes blazing with a fury that could melt steel. The morning sun streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, but it did nothing to soften the storm raging inside him.
“How dare he!” Devandra muttered, pacing the length of the room. His tailored suit clung to him as he moved like a predator circling its prey. “Arga… that boy… he thinks he can defy me? He thinks he can take her from me?”
One of his assistants, trembling slightly, cleared her throat. “Sir… I-I heard… about what happened...
