“........and that would be all for today.” I closed the file in front of me as I dismissed everyone in the conference room and I stood up.

I was the first to leave while unbuttoning my suit outer jacket. Meeting with the chiefs of departments of the company was so stressful, especially when I was exhausted. Unfortunately, it was something I had to do as the CEO.

The weekly repetition of stating the company's affairs was what made the meeting boring for me, and I didn't make that less obvious. Footsteps behind me made me glance to see Melissa, my personal assistant.
