It was exactly five o'clock when I left my boss' office after speaking with him about taking some time off from work to deal with the issues happening around me.

Thankfully, he had listened.

Not only had he listened, but he had also been surprisingly understanding. After hearing me out, he granted me a two-week furlough and advised me to focus on putting my life back together before worrying about work.

As I walked through the building, heading towards the parking lot, other colleagues joined the previous ones in asking me what the issue was.
