“Kris...” Ruby called with cracked voice.

Seeing that Kristal’s facial expression didn’t change, she tried again.

“Kristal...I uhh...umm...” she stuttered under the intimidating gaze of Kristal.

“Sorry, I’ll be leaving.” She apologised and turned to leave but was stopped by Kristal’s soft voice which was contrary to the death glare she had been receiving from her.

“Rory, why are you standing outside?”
