Emerald didn't at all look convinced and flashed a Cheshire grin at Azura.

"And your boyfriend obviously, else why would your boss hunt you down? Unless you owe him lots of money, do you now?" she asked suspiciously, causing Azura to panic and give me a discreet glance from under her thick lashes. It was enough to melt all my insides into mush.
