“I still don’t understand what exactly you plan to do about his supposed poisoned death,” I said flatly, arms crossed as I leaned in slightly.
Ronan didn’t rush. Instead, he inhaled, slowly, like he was preparing to make a speech. “I’ll do what needs to be done. I’ll handle it with respect to King Charles’ legacy. The crown deserves that.”
I blinked at him, then actually laughed. “Wow. That felt awfully rehearsed.”
He gave me a sidelong glance. “You asked.”
