It's like a slow mo, Zeph is walking directly to us. His eyes were on me and on Khaelly. My grip on Evander's hand tightened. I didn't realize that he was already close to us. Evander immediately put Khaelly down.

Zeph looked at me for a second before he diverted his gaze on my daughter. He smiled. I just looked at Khaelly who looked scared. Almost hiding behind Evander's leg.

''Hey little fairy'' said Zeph gently.

I was alarmed when Khaelly hid behind Evander. I looked at Zeph who seemed stunned by Khaelly's reaction. I knelt in front of Khaelly.
