Chapter 7 The First Meet

Chapter 7 The First Meet

The moment Herman stepped into the hall, the wonderful sound of the harp was already in his ears.

He followed the rhythm and swept to the body under the searchlight. The white dress on the knees set off a woman's slenderness, and the elegance of the harp added a sense of serenity to her.

His eyebrows were slightly raised, and the corner of his mouth evoked a small smile, and then Madame Linda walked quickly to his side: "Oh! Mr. Herman, I’m so delighted to meet you here. I believe that tonight's charity reception will be much more perfect because of your arrival." Madame Linda raised her hand and gave her a kiss like a queen.

Herman held her hand with a smile and leaned down, but instead of kissing the back of her hand, he just sniffed and then looked up at her: "Sorry Madame Linda, I don't like such kind of scent. He said, releasing her hand, and scanning the carts covered with colorful silk that were pushed out: "I hope that plate won't make me come here in vain."

Madame Linda smiled awkwardly, and then straightened her chest: "It definitely won't happen. Don't worry!"

As soon as she finished speaking, Ella's repertoire just ended. There was thunderous applause in the hall. Madame Linda led Herman into the venue, and all the people who were paying attention to Ella turned to look at Herman sideways, and Herman became the focus of discussion in the venue.

Ella knelt beside the harp, looked at the white figure that entered the venue, blinked, and then heaved a sigh of relief, as if she had relaxed a little for not being paid attention.

But this kind of relaxation was broken in only three seconds, because Madame Linda waved at her and greeted her with a smile: "Ella, come here!"

Ella's shoulders suddenly became stiff, she stared at the front as if resisting, and the conductor next to her patted her shoulder: "Go."

Ella bit her lower lip, and then stood up with her head lowered, and walked over there timidly. At this moment, the emotions in the eyes of the people in the performance area almost became one: sympathy.

Because Ella is such a weak and quiet woman, such a timid woman, but now she has to stand under the bright beam of light and is forced to smile.

"...Mr. Herman, the color plate you care about will be the last lot to be auctioned tonight, so I'm afraid you have to chat with everyone first." Madame Linda was talking with Herman, and when she turned around, she saw Ella coming beside her. She immediately reached out and grabbed her arm: "This is Miss Ella and I have something to deal with now, excuse me."

After Madame Linda finished speaking, she took Ella and left. Ella glanced blankly at Herman who passed by, and gave him a smile in embarrassment, but when she walked by, Ella couldn't help but widen her eyes, and then she looked back at Herman in disbelief. She glanced at him, and the man set his eyes on the trace on her heart.

Her heart thumped. She subconsciously raised her hand to cover her heart, lowered her head and followed Madame Linda quickly away.

But in her mind, there was a pair of eyes, with a deep color, but those eyes were not amber, but the light of stars in the black sky.

"This is for you!" Madame Linda wrote Ella a check. Ella took her soul back, only to see Madame Linda looking at her with a mocking expression: "This is five million dollars, and it's you compensation. You and my son will maintain a relationship for one month, and you will break up after a month, understand?"
