The silence of the night was deafening, broken only the steady hum of my car engine.

My hands gripped the steering wheel a little to tight ad I navigated the winding road to Dominic's estate.

My mind was plagued with thought's of Lily, the way her face fell when I told her I had to cut our evening short in other to respond to Dominic's call.

I knew I had ruined what was supposed to be a queit night. A night for just the both of us, but I was also this close to swaying Dominic to believe that I was working for him and no one else....
