The night slipped away before my eyes as I succumbed to the heaviness of my eyelids, muttering meaningless nothings.
My ears twitched at the sound of chirping birds while I adapted a more comfortable position on the seemingly soft mattress.
My nostrils picked up the scent of slightly burnt toast, which made me sniff harder, turning towards the direction it came from.
