How did you save a person who didn't even want to save herself? Was she just dumb or desperate? At this point, I was convinced she was both.

Even an outsider could tell that Ray was nothing other than a baggage to her. The memory of them earlier this afternoon was etched into the walls of my brain.

Maybe it was the burning sensation going down my throat that made each detail hurt so much, the more I thought about it, or maybe it was because I cared too much about…. No, I was just doing her a favor.

I hated that she would not listen to me....
