The car suddenly changed it's direction, driving west. The city giving way to the coastal roads and then, we were on the Pacific Coast Highway.

The vast ocean stretched out to us in every corner, the dimly lit stars glazing on its seemingly still waters.

We turned off the highway and onto a smaller road, moving towards the beach this time.

While the police closely followed us, their cars discreetly trailing from behind, the sound of waves only grew louder. The car finally halted at the extreme end of a deserted parking lot, overlooking the beach.
