ONE YEAR LATER

I went out of my room and stretched out, put the earpods on my ears, and ran out of the house, down the hallway. The size of the smile on my lips, I was excited and nervous at the same time, and the sea and the rising sun opened up to me.

I stretched out in front of the house and took out the cigarette I was hiding and just handed it to me. We are not allowed to drink and smoke on the island because it is part of training.

I light it and taste the smoke in my mouth. Nothing tastes better than taboo, and...
