"Why isn't he picking?" Claire grumbled as she bit hard on her lips.

She had been trying to reach Rex since dinner ended but as always he wasn't exactly picking her calls. Claire couldn't blame him, she was known to keep dropping messages that appears disturbing to Rex. He was still not respondent on her intention towards him.

However, it was entirely different this time around. Deep within her, she feels unsettled which was really new to her. The need to ensure she was just being paranoid for nothing nagged at the back of her mind.
