I was in my office going through some paperwork when one of my guards burst in, looking distressed.

"Alpha Julian, we have some terrible news," he said. I tried to calm my racing heart while I tried to guess whatever could be wrong.

"What is it?" I asked, sensing the seriousness in his tone. I really hoped it wasn’t something terrible because I’ve had enough to deal with  for this entire week and I don’t think I can handle anything worse again.
