“Fuck it.” I said it out loud and leaned across the couch before I could talk myself out of it.

My hand went to the side of Daniel’s neck and I kissed him hard. He didn’t freeze.

He didn’t pull back.

His mouth opened under mine and he kissed me back like he had been waiting all day for permission.

His hand slid into my hair and held me there while his tongue pushed past my lips.

I made a sound into his mouth and climbed half into his lap without breaking the kiss.
