Nathan’s POV

The next two weeks were some of the most challenging of my life, after not moving for a month. I basically had to retrain every single muscle in my body. It was very frustrating at times, but having Amelie by my side every day made it so much easier. She was amazing. Helping me with my exercises and standing at the end of the apparatus with a hug as a reward. It would have been a longer recovery if she hadn’t been there.

I still have a way to go, but I can continue that at home with a nurse and a therapist, and of course, Amelie would...
