Amelie’s POV

I thought I was dreaming when I heard him stutter out the word baby, but it was really him! I jumped out of bed like a madwoman and pressed the nurse’s button.

“Nathan!” I screamed, scurrying around to the other side of the bed. “Did you just say baby?”

Then I saw it, his beautiful grey eyes fluttering open. I have never been so glad to see those eyes open in my life. I can’t even remember what I said next. I just felt like I was babbling. I gently bent down and kissed his lips, and he kissed me back! I was so overjoyed.
