I held my breath, my chin wobbling as I exchanged glances at them.
Their presence in Dmitri’s house felt so unreal that I had to shut my eyes for a minute, just to ensure that my mind wasn’t playing games with me, but it wasn’t because they were still there, seated casually on the armchairs like they hadn’t caused me pain for the greater part of my life.
“It’s good to see you again, my little princess,” Father sneered with heavy sarcasm dripping hard from his tone.
I wanted to say something to him, anything at all, but my mouth seemed not to know it’s function anymore....
