Avery's POV

Beep!

I suddenly received another text,

"I'm here now." I read the text, and just then, I heard a knock on my door. I quickly turned to Amelia, knowing exactly who was standing outside the door.

"Why do you look excited? You clearly told me that you're not even interested in this, and I shouldn't call this a date, right?" Amelia said, intentionally wanting to pick on me.

"What? You're lying, I don't look excited," I said before walking away from her.

"If you say so," she responded.

"Just have fun," she added, waving to signal that it was time for me to go and answer...
