I sat beside the bed wiping Freya's sweat-covered brow. It was devastating watching her suffer. Pure werewolves didn't go through a transition, they do however have to go through a first shift when they turn sixteen. That was bad enough, but each shift after that first shift became easier and easier, until you didn't feel the pain anymore. I couldn't imagine what Freya was going through, all I wanted to do was be in the moon realm with her. I wanted her to know that I was there for her every step of the way.

Guilt consumed me and I couldn't believe that I had been so selfish....
