She was like an unassembled puzzle.
“I’m sorry,” she muttered again as she found herself facing the granite table in the center of the kitchen.
“I don’t understand anything, Melody. I don’t understand why you should apologize. You haven’t done anything wrong, you apologize to me, for bringing you to my house, I didn’t think it would look so bad to you.”
