Darren's POV

I rushed into the room the moment I heard the loud scream. I was having a discussion with Karl in the living room when I heard a loud cry. I didn't know what was wrong but hearing that sharp cry caused my heart to race. I rushed into the room only to find my mate on the floor.

"Laura, what's wrong?" I asked her worrying but she couldn't speak. I saw the tears rolling down her cheeks.

I pulled her close into my thighs and caressed her hair but it didn't look like I was helping at all. She was restless and in pain. Her heartbeat was loud...
