Laura's POV

“You met your grandmother?” Mother asked. Her voice held a shock and I could see the displeasure in her eyes.

I rolled my eyes at her. According to Grandma, they have never been on good terms, especially since Grandma thinks she took her son away from her and also made her lose her position as the head of all the witches. It's not my problem but theirs, they just have to settle their differences.

“Mother, why do you have that look on your face?”
