Chapter 6

Chapter 6

That morning, as usual, Lucas was tidy in his suit. Before heading to the office, the athletic man strolled first to the dining room. There, he again found the figure of Veronica. Realizing Lucas's presence, the woman, a socialite, decided to stand up immediately. Spreading arms, a sign is asking for a hug. "I've been waiting for you for a long time," the woman said, giving Lucas a quick peck on both cheeks. "I'm sorry," Lucas said. "I did wake up a bit late this morning. I had a lot of work to do last night." The two of them then both chose to sit down immediately. Veronica attentively prepares food for Lucas to eat. The two of them were deep in conversation. Loud laughter rang out between them. Lucas and Veronica have been in a close relationship for the past year. I didn't know what was being discussed until they didn't notice Anna's presence. Until the woman deliberately pulled a chair and sat there too. "Who allowed you to sit with us, stranger?" asked Veronica sarcastically. He is openly displeased. Instead of responding, Anna just ignored it. The woman was busy smearing the bread with chocolate jam and eating it quietly. Be so graceful and elegant. "Are you deaf?" Veronica is acting up again. The woman deliberately provoked Anna's emotions. "Foreigners shouldn't be staying in a luxury hotel like this. Especially with my girlfriend." Anna looked up. A mocking grin rose on her pretty face. "Looks like you've never been to school," he said casually. "You behave exactly like a street woman." "You!" Veronica seemed to be holding her breath. The woman's eyes flashed with anger. "How can you call me a street woman. I am a rich person. Where is there a history of rich people not going to school." Anna grabbed the glass of orange juice in her left hand casually. Sipping the drink to the toilet, she replied to Veronica's words. "If not a street woman, then what? A bitch?" Make fun of Anna. "So that you know even being rich can't make you look classy. The thing is, you look so tacky." Veronica is furious. The woman immediately got up, intending to attack Anna, still sitting quietly in her chair. Lucas, who realized that there had been a mess at the dining table, immediately put on a conservative attitude. The man hastily restrained Veronica from getting out of control. "Stop it!" The man looked at Anna and Veronica's faces alternately. "You guys are ruining my appetite." "This woman started first," Veronica accused, pointing her index finger at Anna. "You'd better kick him out of this hotel, Luc." Anna, with her trademark smile, answered. "You won't be able to provoke Lucas to kick me out of here. If I wanted to, you'd be the one who wouldn't be able to set foot in my future husband's hotel anymore." "You---" "Enough, Veronica!" Lucas cut in. "You'd better come with me." The man's gaze then turned to Anna. "And you, Anna. Stop messing around!" ** "Why is your face so sour?" Jacob, that afternoon was seen visiting Lucas' hotel. There was something important that he wanted to convey to the point where he bothered to visit his sibling. "I'm going crazy if I keep doing this," Lucas muttered. The man loosened the tie around his neck. He took off the coat that wrapped his muscular body, then threw it in any direction. "What are you doing here?" he asked then. "I purposely wanted to check on your condition in person. Also, convey a special message from Mama." Lucas' eyebrows shot up high. "Mama?" he repeated. "Why again with Mama? Did something happen to her?" "You rebellious child," said Jacob without reason. "This weekend, Mama and Papa will be celebrating their wedding anniversary. You've been asked to come." Lucas exhaled slowly. He thought something had happened to his mother. It had been several weeks since he had visited the old Grey. Indeed when we meet later, his mother will nag at length. "I'll make sure to come." Jacob nodded. The man spoke again. "But..." he said, hanging on purpose. "But what?" Lucas seems curious too. "Mama said you should bring a partner." Lucas immediately let out a lazy sigh. "Then tell Mama my apologies.

I won't come because I can't fulfill his request." Jacob laughed. "You! Why not just take Anna to see Mama? Isn't she your future wife?" "Don't be crazy!" Lucas immediately glared at him. Showing it to Mama only makes my life worse." "But if that woman is pregnant with your child, like it or not, like it or not, you have to marry her." Lucas' eyes narrowed dramatically. In silence, the man chose not to comment. "Nothing. He just didn't want to imagine what his sister had just said. "You'd better go now. I'm feeling dizzy right now." Jacob nodded in understanding. It seemed he had to let his brother enjoy his privacy. The man did not seem to be in a good mood right now. "Okay, I'll say goodbye," Jacob said. right away, the man passed on another piece of information that he almost missed. "Tonight, the others and I want to go shoot. If your condition improves, please follow us at the usual place." Lucas seemed to consider before finally answering slowly. "See you later." And when night fell. Finished cleaning himself, Lucas immediately got ready. The man seemed first to sort out and choose what paLucan he would wear for this shooting activity. He has been silent for a long time in front of the closet. A v-neck shirt is mixed and matched with a black hat and basic trousers of the same color as Lucas chose for him to wear. Finished preparing all the necessities, he walked lightly towards the exit before Anna finally rebuked the man. "Where are you going?" Lucas turned. "None of your business!" Anna smirked. She seemed used to hearing those harsh words from Jacob Gray's older brother. he protested. "Can I not come with you?" Lucas took a deep breath. He was very lazy to serve Anna. "Why should I bother taking you?" "Because I am your future wife," replied ab Anna casually. "You know, I'm bored in my room all the time. You don't even want to walk out of the hotel. After a while, I'm going to be crazy. So, I beg you, take me with you." The woman blinked seductively. "You'd better go crazy. So I don't have to worry about your fate." Lucas started walking again. Before turning the door lever. Again, Anna spoke in a deliberately raised tone of voice. "That's fine if you don't want to ask me out. I can go myself. But I can't guarantee that your news will be in the newspapers tomorrow." Lucas growled in annoyance. Anna feels that her fate is currently in chaos. "Okay..." The man turned around. "This time, you may come with me to go out. However, there is one thing you need to remember. Don't ever bother me out there." Anna nodded in agreement. Happiness shone brightly in his eyes. "Don't worry. You can take my word for it this time."
