George hesitated like he was going to argue, then dropped my phone and decided to phone Ted with his instead. But the line refused to connect. He tried several times, but there was still no connection. “What is happening?” he panicked, looking at me with stupid wide eyes.

I guess he has never been blocked by anybody.

“Try it with mine.” Maria offered.

Well, it was the same thing. Ted had blocked her. I wondered if he had also blocked me too. George gave me my phone. “Your turn.”

I collected it without protest, but put the phone in flight mode before dialing his number. Of course, it didn’t connect....
