When Esther opened her eyes, rays of light from somewhere in the room nearly blinded her eyes and she closed her eyes against the assault. Slowly, she opened her eyes again and looked around angrily for the source of the light. When she saw that it came from the window, she got up to close the window and winced from the pain she felt from the little exercise.
