When Eugene returned home, the captain informed him that the boy Erin was secretly seeing, was being trained as a butler. When Lark was pointed out to Eugene, he recognized him immediately and struggled to hold his anger in check.

He instructed the captain to bring him a piece of the boy’s clothing. While Erin slept that evening, Eugene sneaked into her room and cut some of her hair.
