SAMIEN'S POV

My eyes flung open, greeted by the bright lights right above my head.

I squinted, trying to make a sense of where I was for a few seconds.

“You're alright?” It was Ryker.

My head turned sharply towards him, confusion brewing within me.

The environment looked familiar. I recognised it. The clinic.

“What happened to me?” I asked, my voice a low whisper.

“You collapsed on your way to training. I thought you'd die and never wake up,” he teased, laughing.

I didn't find it funny though. A deep sigh trailed from my lips, eyes blinking rapidly.
