Early the next morning, we returned to Dark’s territory. We were almost caught by Jaxon, but Dara was able to distract him, and in that moment, we all slipped away.

“Hey, be careful,” I muttered to Silas as we entered the room.

Benita laughed. “You four are something else—I like that,” she nodded.

“Do you intend to stay? Dara seems very excited that you’re here,” I asked, and she shook her head.
