“I hope you'll keep to your promise and take me to my daughter?” Benita asked.

“Sure, we will,” I replied.

She stared at me for a while and then at Dark. “Can I have a word with you for a moment?” she said to me.

I was about to follow her when Dark held my arm back.

“Why can’t you say it here?” he gave her a dangerous look.

Benita stared at him, surprised. “Don’t you trust me by now?”
