One by one, the hall emptied, leaving only Dr. Bright, the CEO of Medics Care, Caius, the man in the silver mask, and a few of his men.

Caius’s arm spread wide, shielding me as he stood in front.

Dr. Bright glanced around nervously, her eyes shut tight for a moment before she began edging toward the door, her back hunched. Step by step, she inched forward.

When she reached the door, she straightened up, lifting her chin with a wide smile. In her hands was the black suitcase, stuffed with the money Caius had paid.
