“Bunch of corrupt fools. They thought they would actually intimidate me?” Dr. Aldrich smiled as he watched them speed off from his house.

“So, they really had a hand in what happened to Leylla?” Byron asked once the police squad was out of their sight. His eyes were still escorting them with disbelief.

“They wouldn’t have turned around like cowards at the very first threat. My puzzle is slowly falling into place.” Dr. Aldrich said, his eyes still on their backs as they got into their police vehicles.
