I am happy and shocked by the number of Lycans in the hall. Mateo takes my hand in his and walks me to the throne. He makes me sit before speaking to his people.

“I welcome you all,” he says as he begins. “I appreciate your presence. I’ve come to present you to my partner and your queen. She will rule beside me as the Lycan queen.”

I don’t expect people to accept me because I’m a wolf, but they prove me wrong. Even though we are different species and races, they howl gleefully and greet me.
