My eyes flew and the first thing that sucked into my mind was Xander’s hardened face.

My heart skipped a beat as I batted my lashes and fixed my gaze on him.

“You’re awake, my dear.” The soft voice of Lavender made me turn my head away from Xander’s glare.

“How do you feel now?” She asked as she approached me with a bottle of medicine.

“You don’t have to worry so much, I’m not hurt,” I protested as my eyes were fixed on the bottle of medicine in her hand.

I don’t like taking medicines, especially bitter ones. I’ve always tried to heal myself and escape the nightmare...
