I smiled in satisfaction when Nathan backed away in shock.
“What do you have to say about that, Nathan?” I swerved around and trod back to the window.
“I…I…it’s not possible!” He stuttered, sighing loudly.
“Do you want to see it yourself then?” I asked, not looking at him.
“Well…that won’t solve the problem,” he replied and I turned sharply.
“Really?” I arched my brows in anger and I saw his muscles tense under the brown jacket. Silence broke out between us as we stood staring at each other, I in authority and he, in confusion.
“Can you ever betray me?” my voice pierced through the veil of silence...
