Her voice drifted off into silence as soon as the door burst open again.

Turning around, a wave of panic engulfed me as I caught sight of the only man whose presence I dreaded—Alpha Sebastian.

Karen lowered her head slightly and stepped backwards, making a way for him to pass.

There was a suspicious smile on his face… one I couldn't quite explain.

He took measured steps forward… directly towards me, with his hands crossed behind him, like a warrior who had just conquered his enemies.

He turned his gaze on Karen, and they both nodded like it was all planned.
