Chapter 7 Introduction Day

Chapter 7 Introduction Day

One Week Later

"Are you sure about this?" Alpha Killan asked while walking into Camila's room. A week had already passed, and it was finally the day they had been patiently waiting for. Camilla was going to be introduced to all members of the Midnight Moon pack as their Luna. It was also Alina Mellow's return to the city, so it was a double event for her. She didn't know whether the members would accept her as their Luna, and she also had no idea how Alina would react after all; she was still Alpha Killan's girlfriend, and Alpha Killan had decided he wouldn't break up with her on the phone but would wait until she arrived and then sit her down for a talk.

"Yeah. I am," Alina inhaled nervously, turning to face Alpha Killan. "It's just that we have nothing to do about this, and I have to be introduced to the pack members whether I like it or not," she said, double-checking her make-up and her dress.

"We won't do this if you are not yet ready, Camila. You should know that by now," Alpha Killan reminded her, approaching to help her zip her dress. She had asked the personal maids she was assigned to wait for her outside, and she would get herself ready. She was not yet used to them being there while she was taking a shower and even helping her dress and do her makeup. She had always done everything for herself, and she felt more content that way.

"Where are your maids?" Killan asked, looking all over the room.

"Well, I asked them to wait for me outside until I am done with this." After taking a deep breath, she said, "We should go. I am ready." With a smile on her face, she snaked her hands around Alpha Killan's, and with her head held high, they matched out of the room with a group of guards trailing behind them. The hall was full and filled with silence. After waving at the people, Alpha Killan was handed a microphone to deliver his speech. After introducing her to the people, Camilla bit her lower lip, watching the people's expressions. They were all quiet, and she wasn't sure if they weren't happy with her or not. She raised her head to look at Alpha Killan, but he squeezed her hands with assurance.

In what seemed like forever, the crowd broke into claps and cheers, causing her to sigh in relief. "Thank goodness!" she muttered, smiling and waving at them. After her introduction was over, Alpha Killan left her in the hands of her maids and some trusted guards as he went to have a talk with the alphas of the other packs. About half an hour later, the crowd became noisy, and Camila's curiosity picked up. With the help of her maids, she was safely taken back to her table, where she would see from afar what was going on. A private jet had landed, explaining where the loud noise had suddenly come from, and a beautiful petite girl with blonde hair that was combed back to her waist and curled at the end jumped out of the plane, followed by a heavily built man dressed in all black who was carrying her suit.

The first name she yelled when she came out of the plane was Killan, and in a blink of an eye, her long, slender legs were wrapped around Alpha Killan's waist. Camilla could see all eyes turning on her, some in mockery and others in curiosity about what she would do, and she smiled back at them, swallowing the painful lump in her throat. Camila couldn't wrap her head around the idea of someone else wrapping her leg around her husband's waist. As if Alpha Killan had sensed her sharp gaze on his back, he turned to face her and smiled apologetically, and after whispering something against Alina's ears, she saw her jumping off his arms with a pout on her face, although she didn't copiously let go of him because she suddenly wrapped her hands around his.

Not being able to control her jealousy any longer, Camila walked off the table and strode towards them, and with a half smile on her small face, she wrapped herself around Killan, shocking him because he didn't expect such a thing from her, and asked in a sweet voice, "Hubby, who is this?" Alpha Killan struggled to hold the smile on his face, and he saw the two ladies throwing daggers at each other. To remove the tension between them, he held Camilla's hands for an introduction.

"Sweetheart, this is my good friend Alina Mellow," he said, turning to Alina, "and Alina, this is my mate, my Luna, and my wife Camilla Rasort." Forcing a smile on her face even though wrinkles of jealousy could be noticed by anyone close to them, Alina waved back, "Hi."

"Hello, nice to meet you, Alina Mellow," Camilla smiled, tightening her grip on Alpha Killan, who quickly noticed her gesture. "Auh, if you'll excuse us, Alina. I need to introduce your Luna to some pack leaders," he excused himself, leaving the jealous Alina standing on herself with a deep frown on her face. Before she left her city for the pack, Alpha Killan had asked her to come back as soon as possible because he had a surprise for her. Dwelling in her fantasies, she came as soon as she could, thinking that Alpha Killan was finally introducing her to the world and his Luna because they had been seeing each other for a while. Poor her!

After standing on her own for a while, Alina spotted Camila sitting on her own, scrolling on her phone. She looked around, and when she saw that Alpha Killan was nowhere to be seen, she grabbed a glass of wine from the passing waitress and walked to her. "We meet again, Luna Camila." She raised her glass for a toast. Ignoring the sarcasm in her voice, Camila smiled sweetly at her and raised her glass of juice for the toast. "To me and Killan," she muttered, biting her inner cheeks so that she wouldn't break out laughing after seeing the frown on Alina's face.

"Hump! I wonder what he saw in you," she said, finally showing her true colours. "Do you know that I and he used to..." Her intentions were to hurt her, but Alpha Killan had told her everything the day she arrived. "Yeah, I know Alina," she said, rolling her eyes in exhaustion. "I know of the fact that you and my Killan had been seeing each other, and if I hadn't arrived in time, he could have gotten married to you. I also know that he hasn't broken up with you yet, but that's because he is still waiting for the perfect time." She then turned to smile, responding to the greetings thrown at her by the people passing by. She didn't want any of them to sense the tension between them. It was good that Alina was also reading the air because when people looked at her, she smiled sweetly at them, but deep down, they felt like clawing each other's faces.

Alina squeezed the glass of wine she was holding in her hands as if her life depended on it. By going there to tell Camila about her relationship with Alpha Killan, she wanted to create a misunderstanding between them, but her last shot failed. "There is still time before they get married. I'll make sure I turn them into passionate enemies.
