There was no way I was getting into that office before him because he was already far ahead of me. So, I quickened my pace, determined to arrive shortly after him.

I entered the office, slightly out of breath, to find him lounging on the couch. He didn't offer any instructions. He had said specifically that we had a client call, but so far, he has not done anything about it.
